Review by hotel critic
My stay at Pension Deifel was delightful. The regional dishes served at the traditional-style restaurant were a highlight, especially the locally reared meat and home-baked bread, reflecting the authentic flavors I cherish from Bavaria. The cozy setup of the rustic house and preserved decor added a charming touch to the overall experience. The breakfast was a treat, with excellent home-made bread and meats/cold cuts, setting a perfect start for our days exploring the Bodensee region. The rooms were very clean and spacious, with a private bathroom in each, providing the comfort and convenience we needed for a family getaway. We appreciated the attention to detail, like the sweet surprise on the pillow each day, adding a personal touch to our stay. The surrounding countryside offered plenty of activities such as cycling and hiking, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the scenic beauty of the area. We even had the flexibility to pack a roll and a boiled egg from breakfast for a quick on-the-go snack, showing their genuine hospitality. The proximity to Meersburg and the option to take the ferry to Mainau Island made exploring the region effortless and enjoyable.Pension Deifel provided a true Bavarian experience with its warm atmosphere, delicious food, and convenient location. From the freshly tapped beer on the terrace to the free WiFi access and private parking, every detail was thoughtfully arranged to ensure a memorable stay. I highly recommend this charming farmhouse for families looking to immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of Bavaria.
